As some of you may know, my old computer pretty much died on me Tuesday due to its hard drive being burned out. On Thursday night my dad and I went to Best Buy and I got a new laptop, AradiaHawkeye! :D Some things got saved/not saved:

-Luckily I have my help_japan and help_mindanao saved in Dropbox/flashdrive, so at least I didn't lose those. I'm working on them, I'm working on them!

-I didn't get the chance to save the later chapters of Chasing the Desert except some changes I did on Chapter Six, but I emailed them to Beta A (muziris) a while back so I can retrieve them from there. Speaking of which, I'm hoping around this week I'll post Chapter Six of my FMA Big Bang story, so watch out for that!

-One good thing about this is I get to use the free trial of Scrivener again! :D Once the thirty days are up though...er, don't have much money on me yet. >.>;

-Music files should have put it in my flashdrive, gah. However, I actually had them uploaded back at Google Music, so around 90% of my music is saved there. I can download the songs back into this laptop, but it's going to be a pain to do it, lol.

-Pictures and videos weren't saved, though! D:

So yeah the past couple of days had been setting up my laptop and trying to get used to Windows 7 even though I used that OS back at my workplace, heh. Let's see how long this laptop will last. XD

Is it just me, or is media seemed to tell us to not focus on your career and "GO MAKE BABIES!" Now I'm all for having a work/life balance as it's good to not be stressful about your work all the time and also am cool with people who wants to start a family. However, there are those that want to focus on career first baby later, and those that don't even want children. There are those that love their jobs amd have that as their life and don't mind it at all, which is okay too. I shouldn't be surprised since this has been going on for a while, but this has been on my mind lately.

Okay, enough with my rambling. Let's go with a meme I stole from missyquill. She gave me the color orange and I have to list ten things that remind me of that color. If you like to play too, let me know and I'll give you a color!

Happy Easter, everyone! I hope all of you are enjoying your day whether you celebrate it or not. For today a meme I stole from evil_little_dog, though I changed things around a bit:

In other news, Thursday at work I had my picture taken, along with the new Fire Marshall and another volunteer, for the fire department's annual report that will be published in May. It was quite sunny outside but the firefighters taking the pictures had us stayed in the shade. I think I may have smiled too much, but whatever LOL.

Just real quick, I still plan to post the second half of my Big Bang, most likely Chapters 6 and 7 first and then Chapters 8 and Epilogue. My beta told me she should get them done fairly soon now. Hopefully within this month, so watch out for that! In the meantime, some Big Bang art!

I ended up doing last minute pinch-hit graphic art for catw00man and zippitgood's story, The Winding Roads of Truth. It's a very fun adventure story so definitely check it out!
